What the speed test does

The Internet Health Diagnostic transfers temporary test files through Cloudflare to estimate download speed, upload speed, latency, jitter, and failed latency probes (a browser estimate, not a direct packet-loss measurement). Like any web request, Cloudflare receives the network information needed to deliver that test traffic. When you request a report, American Fiber Internet stores the result with the contact information you submitted so the report can be delivered and discussed with you.

Information you choose to provide

For a saved diagnostic, we collect your name, email and phone, each completed measurement and the test conditions or problems you choose to supply. We create a customer profile immediately and use Resend to deliver the requested completed or partial report when email delivery is activated. For the diagnostic report-and-follow-up service, one unchecked consent names American Fiber Internet and covers the report plus calls, emails and texts about results and internet options. Consent is not a condition of purchase; message frequency varies, rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out of texts or contact us to withdraw permission. If you request an availability review, we collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, preferred response method, separate email and text permission choices, and any diagnostic result you choose to attach. We may also collect your current provider, improvement priorities, and requested review time. If you use Contact Us, we collect the information and message you submit.

How information is used

We use submitted information to create one customer or prospect profile, prepare and deliver your report, respond to your request, review internet options, coordinate a requested appointment, maintain consent and provider-evidence records, operate the customer experience, prevent abuse, and measure funnel completion. First-party analytics events do not intentionally store advertising identifiers. Ongoing promotional permission is separate and optional.

Optional advertising measurement

If you choose “Allow measurement,” Meta Pixel may receive browser and network information together with limited website events such as a page view, diagnostic start or completion, follow-up submission, or appointment request. We do not include your name, phone number, email address, service address, provider, report ID, or diagnostic details in Meta event parameters. Declining does not affect the speed test or report. You can reopen the choice at any time with the “Tracking choices” button.

Service providers and internet providers

Vercel helps host the website, Supabase helps securely store submitted records, Cloudflare supports the speed test, Resend delivers requested email, and Meta provides optional advertising measurement when you allow it. When you ask us to help with an internet option, information may be shared with the relevant provider or ordering partner as needed to verify service or fulfill your request.

Your choices

Saved quick and longer diagnostics require your name, email, phone and permission to deliver the report. The diagnostic uses one express consent for the report plus calls, emails and texts about results and internet options. After reviewing the report, you can request a callback time. Consent is not a condition of purchase; message frequency varies and message/data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or contact us to withdraw permission. A diagnostic can run for 10 minutes, one hour or 24 hours; closing the tab, sleeping the device or browser restrictions can leave gaps. Saved partial measurements remain attached to your profile, and a partial report is queued when the check is finalized. We also store browser language, timezone, user-agent, and available Cloudflare network ASN, routing-organization, test-location and country metadata. The ASN is looked up through RIPE NCC. When Cloudflare does not expose the ASN, we submit the public IP from your request to RIPE NCC to identify the routing network; we do not submit contact details. Detection may identify a VPN or carrier rather than your retail ISP. We do not collect precise location or your public IP into the report. Contact details are remembered in session storage for this browser session and scheduling uses the saved profile. The browser stores a private report access token locally so you can return to your report. You can clear it by starting another check after completion. An availability request separately requires your service address, contact information, and permission to respond. Text permission is a separate unchecked choice. If you select text as your preferred response, text permission is required. Optional future-offer marketing remains separate. You may ask to access, correct, or delete information, subject to records we must retain for security, consent, or legal purposes.
